Students at Factory Shoals Elementary School recently explored the world of coding as part of the STEM-tastic Hour of Code Extravaganza.
During and after the event, students took part in several activities including Coding Workshops tailored to their skill levels, and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Challenges that provided a platform to apply problem-solving skills and showcase their creativity and ingenuity.
The school has also launched after-school STEM clubs, monthly coding challenges and a STEM guest-speaker series as part of a commitment to foster a continuous love of the STEM disciplines, Media Specialist Danielle Jiles said.
