The Millionaire Club

Wouldn't it be fabulous to be a millionaire?! Well, we may not be able to do so with money, but we do it with words.

What is it?

The Millionaire Club offers the challenge to students to read a million words, or more, during the school year.

What do I have to do?

All you have to do is read whatever you want!!

How do I track my words?

Take the AR (Accelerated Reader) quiz on your book when you complete it.  Each quiz notes the number of words in the book.  If your book does not have an AR test, email Mrs. Mathews the title and author of the book and she will track down the number of words for that book.

What happens when I read a million words?

Prizes are awarded throughout the year for students who are on track to make a million words by the end of the year.  Students who reach a million or more words are inducted into the Millionaire Club and celebrated with a party and win special prizes at the end of the year such as gift cards, shirts, etc.
