Principal
Dr. Leonard is a native of Columbus, GA where he graduated from Shaw High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Secondary Education from Morehouse College, Master's Degree in Special Education from Hampton University, and Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Leonard began his education career with the Hampton City School District as a Social Studies teacher at Spratley Middle School. In 2008, he began his career with the Douglas County School System where he served as a teacher at Chapel Hill High School, a teacher New Manchester High School, a Special Education Evaluator at Stewart Middle School, and an Assistant Principal at Chapel Hill High School. In addition, Dr. Leonard coached wrestling and boy's golf. Dr. Leonard is married to Mrs. Tamara Leonard, a teacher at New Manchester High School and they enjoy raising their daughter Rayah. This is his first year as Principal at Factory Shoals Middle School.
