Dr. Joy Moses, Assistant Principal
Dr. Moses is a loving wife and a proud mother of two sons; a senior in college and a ninth grader who keeps her on her toes with their academic and athletic activities. In her free time, Dr. Moses enjoys: exercising, traveling, attending sporting events, listening to music, engaging in anything water related (jet ski, snorkeling, swimming, white water rafting etc.), reading and most importantly relaxing.
Dr. Moses was born into the field of education as both of her maternal aunts, uncle and her mother served in the educational setting in some capacity. This type of exposure has shaped her desire to serve in the educational setting over the years.
Dr. Moses has served in the profession of education for over two decades and at all levels: elementary, middle and high school. Dr. Moses' past experience as a classroom teacher and Professional School Counselor has informed her belief that educating students is most effective through a collaborative and comprehensive approach. As an Assistant Principal, Dr. Moses is able to offer different dynamics, expertise, approaches, and strengths to collaboratively plan and implement programs that can yield success. Her approach with all students is to examine their entire life i.e. social, family, personal beliefs and environment so that she can effectively collaborate with them in navigating along a path where they can feel the most success while simultaneously learning from their behaviors and actions.
